Using levels of hand-cut paper and apply colour to make texture and form, New-jersey based artist Joe Lurato locations small wood cut-out figures in public areas spaces, recording his personal activities. The works are often left to communicate with the surroundings and community.

In a latest meeting with Brooklyn Road Art, Lurato explaines :

"I try to see the opportunities for a bigger image within a smaller space: a puddle can become a lake, a little break in a concrete walls can become a spectacular go up, a control or window corner can fall away into a anxious gap, a planter box can become a place for a kid to play, and a shadow might be a concrete area for a couple of a few moments a day."
